Horticultural vinegar is a non-selective defoliant, meaning that it will destroy all
vegetation that it contacts because it has a very low pH which quickly degrades cell walls and tissues.
This chemical is useful in quickly eliminating weeds above ground.
Repeated applications are required to successfully eliminate below ground root structure.
