Moss is an indicator of problems with your garden. Moss prefers slightly acidic, shaded and moist environments. Moss once established, will slowly creep into the rest of the surrounding lawn area and spread. It is important to remove moss before attempting to return the area to lawn. Moss control is achieved by the physical removal and chemical removal or a combination of both methods.

Green Circles Method for Moss Control:
Green Circles will perform a soil test for chemical characteristics such as PH and EC and physical characteristics such as texture and soil structure with your site visit. We will attempt to reduce the shade on the site with pruning and possible tree removal. We will remove all moss, old grass, weeds, thatch, and dispose. The soil will be cultivated to a depth of the hardpan or at least 10-15cm and any needed amendments according to the results of the soil test will be added. These amendments may include several inches sandy fresh soil, fertilizer and pH control such as lime. Green Circles will level and roll the soil then spread, rake and roll the fresh seed. A temporary irrigation system will be installed if required.
