Mulch, which is spread over the surface of the ground, is an important measure towards the prevention of weeds, retention of soil moisture during times of drought, and improvement of soil texture. Mulch keeps light from penetrating to the soil and allowing weed seeds to germinate. Mulch also helps to prevent erosion from irrigation and rainwater. Adding mulch also helps to maintain a more consistent temperature in the soil through the cold weather.

Green Circles Method:
A site visit will be required to assess problems with your garden and which type of mulch offers the best solution. Your goal may be to reduce weeds, add an element of design or decoration, reduce erosion or evaporation. We will arrive to cultivate and edge your gardens, removing weeds and debris as they work. Filter fabric (if required) will be installed as an underlay and the mulch will be installed to each area and spread carefully around existing plants.
