Weeds are described as undesirable, invasive plants in a landscape. Weeds compete for space, water, light and nutrients and must be removed to improve the health of the surrounding vegetation.

Green Circles Method:
Two mechanisms for weed control can be used. Pre-emergent weed control targets weed seeds and attempts to limit their germination and/or establishment. Post-emergent weed control is aimed at the destruction or removal of weeds that have already established and are actively growing in the landscape.
